You like it.
You want it.
And then you think, I could make that myself.
I did that on Saturday.
I was perusing Etsy (read: Got sucked into Etsy and Pinterest and spent a lot of unproductive time) when I came across rosette necklaces.... And rosette rings... And rosette headbands... And rosette... Well, you get the picture.
Now, I love some fabric rosettes.
I've done rosette adorned wreaths.
I've done rosette adorned banners.
I've even done rosette adorned window socks.
And it has never crossed my mind
to attempt fabric rosette jewelry.
Like this...

And while I was tempted to buy, I was more tempted to make.
So, I hopped my booty in the car, drove to Hobby Lobby, and had myself a fabric rosette jewelry craft binge.
And I didn't stop at just a necklace.
(which I wore to church on Sunday, by the way)
I made a cuff bracelet...
And a ring...
And cute little earrings...
Of course, when Eva saw what I was up to
she wanted something too, so I made her these...
And this...
And then I got to thinking about it...
For our sports crazed family, the season is coming up.
First there's football.
Then wrestling.
Then basketball.
And I like to show some school spirit.
So, I made a Go-Hawk Pride necklace.
Black and Gold, baby!
Spirited, yet fashionable.
Over the top?
Maybe.
But then again, no one has ever not accused me of being a little over the top when it comes to cheering my boys on.
;)
Plus, I get a little tired of the de rigueur lightweight black North Face jacket over a black long-sleeved tee or the spirit wear that isn't always flattering. This will go nicely with black blazer or black sweater.
Who said school spirit can't be fashionable?
LOL!
Anyway... Something tells me that I'm going to be making
a lot of jewelry for myself.
I love the shabbiness of it.
I love the uniqueness of it.
And well...
It's totally me.
Dream Big,
