This week I've been a little slack on the blog front.
Between school conferences for 4 of the 5 kiddos still in school...
Finishing up a long awaited custom job for the ever patient Brenda Crom...
(You rock, girl and it was so fun to finally meet you and your sweet girls!)
And generally running around like a chicken with my head cut off...
Blogging was totally put on the back burner.
Sorry!
So for lack of something being done that is blog-worthy...
Well, the china cabinet was blog worthy, but it went straight from the shop, into the Yukon (that was fun, let me tell ya), and was delivered without me taking any after pictures. (Shame on me!)
Today I thought I'd share some news
that had me really flipping out a few weeks ago.
I was contacted by NBC Univeral's iVillage.com to be one of six bloggers featured in their
"Beautiful (And Affordable) Holiday Tablescapes From Our Favorite Bloggers" Slideshow.
Knock me over with a feather!
Absolutely!
What did they want to feature?
My $15.00 Fall Tablescape.
So cool!
I was super honored to be asked to participate
and I wanted to share with you the other fabulous bloggers and their tablescapes.
From Kristin at My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia...
I love her use of the vases with the candles
and the garland that trails across the table runner!
So simple, yet elegant!
From Alecia at Tablescapes At Table Twenty-One...
Doesn't it make you want to dive right in and revel in the scrumptiousness?
Such a whimsical tablescape with the pink and lavendar!
LOVE!
And this traditional beauty from Liz at Hoosier Homemade...
From the plates to the carved pumpkins to the use of various fruit and squash... I love how this tablescape uses fresh elements and highlights them with lit candles.
Gorgeous!
Next up is from Jordan at The Happy Homebodies...
From the slight gold undertones of the plates
to the natural beauty of the green pears,
this tablescape is downright spectacular. I love the simplicity of the single pear on the center of each plate!
WOW.
And lastly, but certainly not least,
is another traditional fall tablescape from
Mary, who writes at Home Is Where The Boat Is.
I love her use of fall colors, the mini-gourds, and the golden color of the harvest yellow. The green of the leaves provides such a pretty contrast to the golds, oranges, and reds.
Stunning!
Needless to say,
I don't feel like I measure up to these other wonderful tablescapes,
who's designers are definitely some of the best!
But...
I was still thrilled to be included, to say the least!
It was like Christmas coming a little early this year!
Dream Big,
