My Favorite Quickie Spring Craft

The only thing that is keeping me sane right now is repeating to myself...

It is almost the middle of March.

Spring will be here soon.

Despite the fact that we are got through
with yet ANOTHER winter storm with a forecast of...

G-r-r-reat.

The fourth one in as many weeks.

It's like old man winter
was saving every bit of nastiness he could,
and then...

WHAM!

HA HA!  Suckers!  Thought spring was here, huh?

Gotcha!

HUMPH.

Oh well...

My momma always says,
"March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb."

One can only hope.

Anyhoo...

Being as depressed as I was watching the latest snow fall,
I looked back at what I did last year during Spring, to lighten my mood a little...

Plus, since I'm busy this week working on that entry way,
I thought I'd share just a few of them with you.

We finally bought the paint and other supplies I needed this weekend,
since it took me FOREVER to decide what I was going to do with that space!

That's enough to make me smile at least.

:D

Just looking back gets me in the mood
for spring cleaning and decorating!

{I know, I know...  Entry way first.}

{Thanks for the reminder, Fun-Suckers.  ;) }

If I wasn't working on that area, I'd totally be doing this again....

My most favorite quickie craft last year
was dying eggs to look like Robin's eggs
and tucking them here and there around the house.

Nothing says spring to me like
when I see the first Robins have returned.

Can spring possibly get here soon enough???

For me?

Ummm...  It could've been here yesterday!

who's with me?

;)

  2. We just lost all our snow yesterday and it was in the high 40's. I actually found some green sprouting in my herb garden, so for me that says "yes" spring is on it's way. I can't believe how much late snow you have got this year. Your home is adorable and I love the spring eggs you created:)

  3. We were supposed to get into the 50's over the weekend and never made it over 35. Lot's of rain, no wind though. Now, do tell how you made those robin eggs! Love the little tree, too. And...I can't wait to see what you're doing! ;-D

  5. The blog world is wonderful AND frustrating! I bet before you read all those blogs you didn't see anyone else getting ready for Spring and you were just fine!! Right?? It's always that way! LOL Suddenly my yard looks awful bc I just saw a gorgeous, well tended yard...my kitchen seems dull because I just saw a beautiful CLEAN kitchen, my idea for a project goes up in smoke because I see the same thing all over Pinterest.....sigh....it will be here before you know it! But, I AM sorry you are still getting snow.....we're starting to warm up here in Va and my daffodils are up...along with the weeds....
I love your little tree!! Too cute!

  6. I'm with you...wish Spring would hurry up and get here!! We had a winter storm this past week, but today it was very rainy and the 5 inches of snow is now all gone. My crocus flowers have bloomed...so I'm thinking that Spring might be right around the corner!
    hugs,
    Cindy
