Crendenza: {A Before & After}

Painting as therapy, ladies!

Try it.

It works!

Scott and I picked up this
solid cherry buffet
back in June for a song.

Yep, the $35.00 winning bid
definitely had me singing.

;)

It kind of sat in Scott's parent's barn
getting covered in dust and barn swallow poop
for a couple of months.

In August, I brought it home, cleaned it up,
and put in our living room to use as a credenza.

I finally got around to painting it Tuesday afternoon
after I getting my second shipment of MMSMP
- which included "Ironstone".

When I went to HL on Monday,
I realized that not only were their knobs 50% off,
but they also included some new choices that are
total furniture bling.

Pur-ty!

Here's a closer close up of those beauties...

LOVE!

And I love how they contrast with
the chippiness of the piece.

I actually wish the milk paint had chipped more,
but unfortunately, it does what it wants.

It's kind of temperamental like that.

;)

Of course Scott and the boys cringed
when they realized I had painted it white.

In their opinion there's such a thing as
"too much" white.

Ummm...

No there's not.

LOL!

I like it just fine.

And I can't believe the difference it's made.

Finished it just in time to sit back and watch the very entertaining Presidential Debates.

Perfect timing.

Dream Big,

  4. I love it white. Isn't funny how that paint sometimes peels and sometimes not. When I used ironstone on a nightstand it almost all peeled off and I had to do more work on it. Tricycle has not peeled at all and I wish it would.

  13. LOVE!!! You did a great job!!! I think the Armoire looks beautiful too!!! They are definitely both keepers!! I agree with several others.. you can't have enough white! I really think it makes a home feel clean. I'm a tad bit jealous... I can't have white.. I have a BLACK Lab whose hair would be on everything!!! :( Anyways.. I LOVE it!! Glad you are back!!!
