Well, at least there's one thing that can be said for me.
If I say I'm going to do something, I get right on it.
Yesterday, I showed you this picture
<------------------------------------
of my little blue bathroom
under the stairs.
When scrubbing it on Sunday,
I decided it could use some work.
And it would probably one the the cheapest rooms to re-do.
Bonus!
I know....
Redoing bathrooms isn't exciting.
But bathrooms need love too.
I mean, what if we didn't have them?
LOL!
By mid morning on Monday, it looked like this:
And this...
After painting 4 of the 8 rooms of plaster walls in this house,
I'd forgotten just how easy it is to apply primer to sheet rock.
GLORIOUS!
And it uses about a quarter of the amount!
Which is a good thing because I don't have a whole lot left
after doing Eva's room and floors.
So...
Here's what it looked like by the end of the day:
The first coat of primer is on the beaded board and the walls.
And I'm at a loss for what color I'm going with.
I'm really leaning towards an all white room,
but I'm wondering if there is a such thing as too much white.
Knowing me and going against the current trend of neutral walls,
I'll probably slap some color on it.
Plus, Scott took one look at it and said,
"PLEASE don't tell me you're painting it white!"
Eye Roll.
"It's primer, Dear."
"Oh. Okay. Yeah. It's really looking good. Great job!"
PFFT.
I love my husband.
;)
HA HA HA HA HA!

ha ha...don't you love those comments.."whew" LOL...I can't wait to see it...get some grocerys or send Scott to get a butt load of crackers to get you through the storm..

Love it, your doing a great job!
ReplyDeleteI painted our lakehouse bath last summer and it was so frustrating...I really do NOT like to paint! I do like white for a bathroom, it looks so clean and then you can brighten it up with any choice of towels and rugs. My hubs is like yours, he thinks I want everything white! lol!

I like the white idea -or even pale grey. You could easily change the accessories for each season - or just when the mood hits you. ( and I know- the mood hits you A LOT!!)
ReplyDeletehehehe. Gotta love Arts comment ;)
ReplyDeleteSo. How about a really pale, pale aqua ceiling and pale grey on the walls. Beadboard white of course!
The grey would look good with the grout color on the floor and the new colors would be unisex ;)
MWAH! love ya girl. Lilo
You have been a busy lil bee. Looks 'fresh' with its coat of white primer.

Bathrooms need love too, and I must say that I love our bathroom so much! Anyway, I also thought that you decided to paint your bathroom white, which is very heavenly. So if it was just the primer, what's the color of your bathroom now?
