Failure to Launch

You know, normally when I announce I'm going to start a room, I knock it out.

I mean, like, within days.

And you would think that since this is our bedroom, 

I would have that sucker over and done with by now, wouldn't you?

Ahhhhh....

No.

In my defense, I have switched the bedrooms out...

 Painted one large dresser...

And painted another with three stinkin' coats of paint that STILL needs more.

But, have I even touched my vanity?

Nope.

Have I begun priming the walls and trim?

Ummmm...

No?

Are we still digging for our clothes in, like, NINE laundry baskets?

{Hangs head in shame.}

Yes.

Have I really done anything at all?

Ahem...

Not really.

I haven't even picked out the paint color yet.

Shameful.

But, I did get to spend a wonderful day at Adventureland with my crew.

Well, except Greyson who doesn't like rides and wanted to stay home.

PARTY POOPER.

And of course, Noah and Ian were "too cool" to hang with their old Mom and Dad, 

so off they went.

But, I think fun with family and a trip to Bass Pro Shops is better than painting any day!

Are we the only family that loves Duck Dynasty?

Anyhoo...

We had a blast - even if I did get something in my eye that scratched my cornea and wound up laying in a dark bedroom for two days waiting for the swelling to go down.

Today...
