Oh Boy!
Where do I start?
When I blogged last time...
Ohhhhh...
In January 2014...
I had no idea that I would wind up taking
a year and a half break.
And so much has changed at
Our Prairie Home.
How do I sum up that amount of time
in a short, succinct story?
The short and sweet of it?
January/February 2014
I got super busy juggling the boys' wrestling and basketball.
March/April 2014
I broke my ankle falling down the stairs
and had to stay off of it for 6 weeks.
June 2014
Went to North Carolina for my annual
month-long visit to my family.
July/August 2014
Various summer activities, getting ready for school,
football practices, and general mayhem.
September 2014
Football, Football, & More Football.
October/November/December 2014
I GOT A JOB!
(Like a real job where I earned money -LOL- and I LOVED it!)
And here's where it gets really interesting:
January 2015
We became grandparents again and brought our grandson home to Iowa
from North Carolina, where our daughter had given birth.
February/March/April 2015
We learned to be parents to a baby again,
when it became apparent that suddenly WE were going to be his parents.
It is BY FAR the BEST thing that has EVER happened to us.
Meet Oakley:
May 2015
For those of you who remember our granddaughter,
Natalie has come to live with us too.
And we are thrilled to have both our grand babies with us!
Funny how life works, isn't it?
Now, the job stuff is done and I'm home again, with time on my hands.
And with a renewed desire to start working on this old house again.
Just because I haven't been blogging, doesn't mean that I haven't been
working on things around here.
So, I have LOTS to share with you!
And to be honest, crafting and painting just isn't as much fun
when I don't get to share it with you guys!
Y'all keep me motivated and so encouraged!
So, here's to a fresh start and lots of great things ahead!
I hope you'll be back to join me!
I've missed y'all!

And I look forward to sharing everything we've managed to do!
Especially what we've done with the OUTSIDE of the house!
You're gonna love it!
How's that for a teaser???
;)

Wow Laura, what a year you've had! Congratulations on the grand babies... I'm not sure what the circumstances were to cause you to be raising them but if you're happy about it then that's all that counts... they are very lucky kids! :o) I'm looking forward to seeing your yard and what you've done and start seeing your projects again! Welcome back!

Thanks, Tania! Not such a great situation that causes them to be here, but we're blessed by having them nonetheless. :) Thanks for the warm welcome back! It feels great to blog again!
DeleteGod bless you precious Laura. Glad to see you back. You have been in my prayers! Phyllis.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Phyllis! I know that you have been and we appreciate that. The kiddos are doing great and we're really enjoying Natalie and my momma being here. I can't believe how much she's changed just since I was there in January! And 2 on Saturday to boot! :)
